Beyond Ergonomics.
The WorkWise Physical Therapy program has three components:
MSD Risk Analysis: More than an ergonomic analysis, WorkWise Physical Therapy (PT) examines the work environment to identify high-risk worker behavioral patterns and company policies that lead to injuries-claims-costs. A detailed report is generated with an action plan for the organization to implement. Many of the solutions are no/low cost alternatives to costly re-design.
Manager-Supervisor Training: Return to work strategies, claims, costs and how to reduce them are an integral part of this component. WorkWise PT stresses the commitment of the managerial body in order for this program to succeed. Also included in this component are ergonomics, common causes of work injuries, attitudes & policy issues, employee training, stretching, job rotation, posture control, and many other techniques.
Employee Training: Rather than focusing on diseases and symptoms, our strategy is fatigue-avoidance training, which has proven to be successful in the reduction of MSD. Reducing work fatigue, pain and injuries are incorporated with self-care and techniques to protect the aging body.
